Matthew J. Lanz, 36, and Jouseth Torres-Colon, 35, both from Gloversville, were arrested on charges of second degree burglary, a crime, possession of stolen property and petty theft.

They are alleged to have illegally entered a Steele Avenue apartment and stolen clothing on August 14, according to police charges filed in court.

Torres-Colon is accused of hiding a pair of trainers and a video game system of the victim in the building’s attic, the allegations read. Lanz was later accused of possessing a brown paper bag containing two pairs of sneakers and six items of clothing at the Steele Avenue address that was reported stolen in the break-in, the allegations indicate.

The police arrested the two men after investigators investigated the first complaint, the police said.

The men were charged on August 16 and 17. Torres-Colon was released on non-monetary terms and Lanz ordered him to be detained on $ 10,000 bail, officials said.
